What model of Legend is it? Does it have one shock that is for damping - spring, oil and valving? After you get the problems sorted out, write a review. If possible compare it with 422's or ?
I hope you get it sorted out quickly. Let them know ALL of hdforums is watching them!!!
I have Legends L3 and so far so good. The fittings were changed a while back for steel instead of plastic. You should contact Lengends and update some of the parts. Also, you can ride the bike slammed. Good luck
Ok, so good news from Jason at Legend. He looked at the pics and said he will take care of it under warranty. He said it doesn't look like a manufacture defect but since he had told me to crank the fitting down earlier he will take care of it.
But I do have to send the unit back so I will be out of riding for a while. Depending on how long it will take them to get fixed I may be emailing one of you about a stock set of shocks to get me by in the meantime.

Good to hear. Yeah, I had actually updated all of the fittings. This was the last one that needed to be changed out.
Sending the unit back today. They are taking care of it for me which is great.

I'll be heading down to Palmdale tomorrow and can bring a set of stockers if you want to make a trip up there to get um. Not sure if they'll work on your duece, they came off a 08 Heritage. Just let me know.

That, plus the possibility of them failing far from home, is why I've stuck with conventional shocks so far. It's nice when people stand behind their products, but it's even nicer when they don't have a high failure rate in the first place.

Thanks Uncle Chester. Unfortunately I have jury duty tomorrow. If I end up not having to go I'll let you and know and see if I can meet up.
This thread is one of the reasons I have 2 reservations of switching to any air ride system.
I know that JD is a standup guy and his warranty and customer service is second to none.
However warranty and customer service doesn't help me 300 miles from home on a Sunday out in the wilderness of Nebraska when I have a shock failure.
The cost of the systems is the other reservation I have.
All that being said I still haven't pulled the trigger on a set of Progressive 422 RAPs, because Shotgun Shocks still seem awful appealing.
That's why I kept it simple with progressive 422 in the rear...lowered 1.5 " in the back and never any issues...get on and ride...reasonably priced also...
