Don't worry about asking questions, even the smart ones get hammered. As for your question I don't know. If the tire is mounted on the wheel that you want to use just go ahead and see if it will fit. It will only take a few hours to jack up the rear end of the bike and remove the existing rear wheel and install the one you want to use, just make sure the tire does not hit the wiring under the rear fender and also make sure the wheel spacers are in the correct order and that the wheel assembly is centered in the rear fender when looking from the rear of the bike. As for the tire, regardless of fitting or not, you shouldn't be putting rubber that old onto your new bike.

What size is the old rim vs the new one? That's a good start to figure out whether or not something will fit.
