2013 FLSTF
I just purchased docking kit #57184-05 for mounting a detachable windshield that I purchased off of eBay. Does anyone have a diagram, PDF file or anything to show exactly how and in which order these are put onto the bike...?? I can't seem to locate anything showing the mounting procedure ?!?!?
Thanks for any help !!!
If thats the HD product number, you can look it up on HD website and they will usually have a .pdf download of the how to sheets. Typically have an exploded view.

The product number doesn't show up in HD parts catalog or the HD website . As a matter of fact I can't locate any windshield docking kits at all
i'll be doing the same thing in a few days...
just won a detachable windshield on ebay and need the docking hardware.
where did you get that kit? dealership?
There's a lot more parts (ie spacers) in the kit than what shows in the PDF File ?!?!? Yes I got the kit from the dealership....if I were you I'd check on eBay.
Ok, here's the latest dilemma.....The hardware (slots) attached to the windshield itself do not match the location of the docking points on the forks ?!?!?
The mounting slots on the windshield are about 5" apart and the docking points on the forks is about 7 1/2" !!!
Is there a fix for this or somewhere I can buy just the slotted piece for the windshield...??
I just installed the Vented Wind Splitter Windshield-57400159 on my 2013 Fatboy Lo.
I did not have the auxiliary fog lamps.
Now Harley did have a fix for the "no fog lamp"
It was called the Harley FLSTF Bracket Kit for 100th Anniv Windshield 58810-02
Unfortunately the only place to find these are on Ebay as Harley discontinued them. That is where i purchased them.
You will also have to order the upper spacers. Harley still produces those. Spacer (2)5885 comes from your local dealer.
So, to do the job you will need:
1 piece -Vented Wind Splitter Windshield-57400159
1 kit -Harley FLSTF Bracket Kit for 100th Anniv Windshield 58810-02
1 package -Spacer (2 pieces) 5885
I bolted everything on per instructions and I was test driving in about 1/2 hour after cleaning everything up.
