Pushrod tube O-ring change
OKI have NOT been on here for ages...forgive me. I am getting my Fatboy out of hibernation and need to fix a pesky oil leak I had last summer. I've got an Evo motor in my 92 Fatboywith 45K miles on it and it's never been apart, so the pushrod tube o-rings are getting pretty brittle, and it's time to change them since they were progressively leaking more and more last summer. Is there anything I NEED to knoiw to make this job easier? As in some little trick or procedure that will save me hours of time & frustration. I take it I will have to remove the top ends to get the pushrods out. Anything else I should look at or change out while I'm in there? PLEASE any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

If it were me and all you have leaking is the tubes I would just cut the old rods and install adjustable ones. Not sure if HD makes them for Evo off top of head but I know Crain and several other companys do. That way it would only be a 30 min. job unless you just want to open her up to see what it looks like.
