Default Windshield help on 14 Slim

Anybody got some ideas on windshields for a 14 Slim? My Harley dealer ordered one and it didn't work and then I ordered one from J&P and it didn't work either. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

I went with the H-D quick detach p/n 57400111 (Windshield, 18" Light Smoke – Black Braces), then as the top of the screen was directly in my line of sight, I swapped out the screen for a shorter 16" from Long Ride Shields - SKU17640 - Heritage Recurve Shield, 16", Light Tint.

The problem you're running into probably has to do with the auxiliary lights. Since the Slim doesn't have them, you have to choose a windshield made for use without aux lights. I bought a '13 Slim yesterday and was frustrated with the selection of windshields for the standard bike without the aux lights. I ended up getting the low-profile smoked windshield, but the frame is polished and not black.

Hey Mohatto I responded to your other post on other options aside from a windshield. There are fairings out there as well full and quarter. Windshields didn't fit the look i was trying for on my ride so I went with a quarter fairing, jam436's though fits his ride well.

(jam436)That is the best looking Slim I've seen yet! Not that I like being a copy cat but would you happen to have part #'s for your drive lights and highway bars as well?

I will definitely check out the fairings you mentioned as well but I would love to see pics of your bike when ever possible. Thx!

Having a hard time figuring out how to post pics. Noticed a thread in the new members area. If I get it figured out I will post some up for you.

OK, first time trying to post a pic in the forum, hope all goes well. I should have posted 4 pics which should provide you with good angles around the bike.

Looks good, Krazie. I didn't think a Slim would look good with a faring, but you managed to pull it off.

Enjoy the Autobahn!

Thanks SoCal, have been following your bike for many months now over in the Slim pics thread. Taking your input on the CD P&P LEDs, when funds come around again. Was finally able to post over on the Slim Pics now as well.
