SE Slip ons
Hey all, I am getting an 06 Softail Standard and I will have the dealer put on some SE II Slip ons along with a remap before I pick it up. Anyone here have any experience with them? I am curious as to what your opinions are. My last bike (Sportster) had Cycle Shacks and they sounded OK, but this time I want a deeper sound. Will I get that with these or should I go aftermarket for another brand?
Howdy, I have an 05 Springer and they put the stage 1 with SE2's before it left the dealership. I realize that there might be some pipes out there that are louder, but I like mine. I get some sound but not to loud to make the neighbors mad. As I go through the gears it really sounds great, at least in my mind. I've heard of a lot of others putting the SE2"s on their bikes and they are happy as well. Enjoy the sound and the ride.
I have the stage 1 with SE2s on my 05 Night Train, and I love them. They look great and sound AWESOME!! Not too loud, but loud enough to know you're there, and they have a nice low end rumble. IMHO, how a Harley should sound! Oh, and when you get on the gas, they get really loud, hehehe...
Cheers!

Had them on my 05 Softtail Standard, they're not bad if you take the baffles out and open them up a bit. I switched my exhaust to V & H Big Radius, much, much better sound and in my opinion there isn't a better looking set of pipes out there. For the $250 that you spend on the SE's you might be better off checking out other systems first .

I have a baloney cut SEII and they sound good. sometimes a bit quiet, but they rattle the ground in my driveway at idle. I think slash downs are a bit louder because they project their sound down to the ground instead of out the side. it was an economical way to get the harley sound, but when I have more $$ I'll get big radius or big shots V&H.
