Life is good!!
Being self-employed has it's advantages and today was a good example. At around 9:30 this morning, I decided to take the rest of the day off and take a ride. Summers around here are miserable, but today it was in the high 70's...a perfect day for a ride. I called my wife and met her at the house at noon. We took off for Galveston Island, about 70 miles from Spring, where we live. The ride was nice and we had seafood and took a ride around The Strand, Galveston's historical district. Then we headed back to Houston and stopped the see "The 40 yr. old Virgin". Pretty crude, but we laughed so hard we cried. The ride home was very nice, as the sun was going down and it was nice and cool. We live 7 miles off the freeway and we caught ALL 10 LIGHTS to the house. What a great day! And I only made one customer mad! Seems like a small price to pay, don'tcha think? I really love my Softail Deluxe. The whole trip was 172 miles and we plan to do this as often as possible.
Dave Deluxe - I can vouch that that is a nice ride. I ived in Seabrook, TX for a time, right off Nasa Road - and used to make the ride down to Galveston on a Sportbike (Not the same as crusining but a fun, scenic ride nonetheless).
Maybe someday I'll get a chance to ride a cruiser down that way...
