Default Harleys are slow
I'll speak for myself here. mine is a slug. probably could lose to a camry. unfortunately i'm still living by the mantra "never tear down a running bike". intake, exhaust, and fuelpak just didn't do squat for me. maybe a professional tune will wake the bike up with what i have, or maybe i should just pick up a different fuel/air tuner like the commander or vision. maybe once i get deep in the mileage i'll open up the chest and start the surgery. maybe i'll sell it and just keep driving the mustang around town. 6mpg at a time...

you know the old adage.... speed costs, how fast ya wanna go? Coming from a musclecar background, I was underwhelmed with harleys at first too. Just have to look at it, like a 70s camaro/mustang. The speed is there, but you have to work to get it.

i've been drag racing for about 7 years now, i was just posting as a partial goof on the guys that keep asking "how do i make my bike go faster"

Something is wrong with your bike. I've got a mild cam and a stage one kit in my 88 twinkie and I can smoke almost ANY car from 0-60. Including muscle cars. My mileage is crap, like 30something, but it for sure goes.....
