Default Deluxe Questions

I have a 2013 Deluxe and I got a few questions I am hoping you guys can help me with.

1.) I used Bleche-Wite on my whitewalls and now it looks like a bit of the white has run down on to the black part of tire. What can I use to get rid of the white bleed?

2.) The clear sticker that is on the rear fender to protect it from scratches when the passenger seat is on, has anyone removed it and still used the rear seat without scratching the fender?

Thanks,

PJ

I use simple green and light steel wool to clean my white walls. Works great.

I did remove my fender sticker, but don't ever use the rear seat. Probably best to leave it on if you are going 2-up often.

I've used Bleche-Wite on my deluxe's whitewalls since I bought it in '08 and never experienced what you described. Maybe a bad tire?...maybe a film on the WW, your guess is as good as mine. As far as for the clear film paint protector, what Desertwndrr said. Ride safe.

I use magic eraser to clean my WWW's. I plan on keeping my so called passenger seat so I am not going to peal off the factory film.

Magic eraser and simple green. I saved the backing from a large sticker I had bought and I peeled off the clear sticker under the pillion pad and put it on the backing. I don't know why I save it and my bike has been a solo bike since the day I bought it.

Like the above posters said, Bleche-Wite and Magic Eraser work well for your WWW's. I've had great results with Shout laundry pre-treat for clothes. Put some on a steel wool pad, scrub it real good and rinse it off. My wife always buys it so I don't have to worry about running out.

As far as the clear protective cover is concerned, I peeled mine back and trimmed it after I marked the outline of the fender bib I purchased. I guess you could remove it if you want. If I wanted to show the fender; well, it's coming off. I've just never gone that far.
