Like others have said let it sit over night and check the drain pan in the morning.

You can flush it with the factory fluid that's suppose to go in there.
Just let it drain, refill with fresh factory fluid, run the bike up to temp drain again and refill with fresh fluid.
That should clean most of the old stuff out.

What I do is put in on my lift and run the bike in 2nd gear for a couple of minutes at about 25mph. This will warm up the engine and trans quicker with that load and make draining the trans a whole lot easier.

thanks for any help.
I assume you removed the trans drain plug and not the block plug that doesn't have fluid behind it. It's easy to do by mistake.

If that's what you are referring to...seeing the reddish coating on the gears, I really don't know how to flush that stuff out. Be interested in hearing ideas from the board though.
I ran redline through for 40K miles (two tranny oil changes) then I had a speedo issue where it wasnt registering after it was hot. I ended up taking out the speed sensor in the tranny and it was covered in oil goo and metal bits. I replaced it, went with harley tranny fluid and haven't had an issue in 10K miles so far. It might have been just the sensor, but just saying.

I never had a problem with it draining, though. Yes it does come out a bit thick, but it should still come out. Maybe you got a sludgy spot on the drain hole? Maybe stick a small screwdriver or coat hanger or whatever, and twirl it around to see if there's a clog.

You're supposed to change the tranny oil every 10K miles..

Very much depends on your bike. Most of the Twinkies are spec'd at 20k for the transmission.

I switched off from the shockproof also...to get most of it out, i drained it first, put drain plug back in and fill with some 20/50 engine oil, run for a few minutes then pull plug and drain again, then refill with your tranny fluid.
Ride safe.

What was the reason you switched back from the redline?
