I am trying to change the oil and its not coming out I didn't have chance to warm the bike up and go threw the gears. So my question is can I spray brake cleaner in the hole to thin it out so I can and fresh oil since I am going in for surgery on my back on the 29th.
thanks for any help.
I certainly wouldn't do that. If it were me, I just leave the drain plug out and make sure the fill cap is loosened up all the way. Come back in the morning and the all the oil should be in the pan. I run the redline myself and can't imagine why it won't drain even if it's cold. When I read your post my first reaction was you didn't loosen the fill cap.... All the way out..

Fill cap is off I will check again to make sure it did drain it drain before with no issues so I was wondering if it just thicken up since I haven't been on it since last year. But thanks for your reply. I will gladly let you know the out come. Time for a Captain an coke lol.
Unless the temps in Illinois are sub zero right now there is no need to warm up the engine, it will flow from a cold engine. Assuming you removed the correct plug the only other possibility is it was empty to begin with.
Shockproof is some sticky stuff. I've been running it for about 20K miles, changed it twice. It'll drain out, but I've noticed even drained, it leaves a thick coating on the gears (at lease what I can see through the filler hole).
If that's what you are referring to...seeing the reddish coating on the gears, I really don't know how to flush that stuff out. Be interested in hearing ideas from the board though.
You havent by any chance had a leak have you? Even thought that stuff is thick it should drain out with no problem. Just might take longer. Dont try to flush it out with anything as that is not necessary and you will contaminate the new fluid with it.
