Default Breakout Heat Shields

Noticed something strange, all of the other Breakouts have the black heat shields. Mine has chrome.

Only model I can find that comes with chrome is the CVO. Mine is definitely not a CVO. Anyone else have ideas?

The assembly line ran out of black shields one afternoon and subbed chrome ones. When I managed production plants, we did this all the time. No big deal. I actually saw another FXSB with the chrome shields the other day.

Thanks Jim.

Damn shame you pay that much for a bike and the assembly line is half ***, lol.

..maybe your dealer swapped them for a CVO buyer who wanted black, and hoped you wouldn't notice...

I was wondering about that when you posted the pic of your brand new bike. I think the Black looks great against the Amber.. personally. Chrome looks good too though, plus you will probably end up getting new pipes anyway.

Hey Stone,

Yea I already have my eye on the V&H Big Radius. I know everyone has them, but theyou look perfect and sound even better!

My Night Train was dead silent from the factory, so the Breakout stock exhaust at least has a bit of sound to it.
