thanks for all replys gentleman, i feel like i am gonna buy the bike, that price includes everything out the door, i did some research on the bike and they only made 2,400 of them and only 800 of them were with the yellow paint. It even still has the Syn3 stickers on each side of the trans and oil tank so who ever had it never rode it, sitting on the bike is different cuz it has the lowering kit that comes with these bikes so it doesnt feel like a normal duece, feels more like a chopper. it was $26,900 MSRP when it was new in 04 and that was the only year they made these particular models as near as i can tell, but thanks again, will let you know how it turns out, i may have to change my forum name! LOL
I'm not so sure that's all that good either. My local dealerwill not take any more dueces. For whatever reason(don't bash me because I don't have a clue why) he is haveing trouble moving them. I like them and almost bought one, but went Fatboy instead.
Bottom line Ididn't likethe lines of the Deucebody, especially the rear fender, looks like a too quickly,1 day engineered thought process from Harley engineers.... (strictly just my opinions)
Personal preferences aside - that's a great deal on a Deuce. I had an '05 that I put a lot of money into for the Stage II, chrome rear wheel, 180 tire, etc. The only reason I traded it was that we've been taking longer rides and wanted something with the heavier front end, detachable windshield, bags, etc. The Deuce has it's drawbacks in that you'll be met with a lot of "except FXSTD" in the parts books, and the rear fender does need some help (remove the back plate and try something like the Kurykyn curved side mount), but the Deuce is UNIQUE.My dealer sold my trade in two days, so there is a market for a quality (and clean) bike, regardless of the model. Buy it and enjoy it.
Take a good long look at that yellow. Make sure you like it...
Price wise? I think it's very fair.
Like Purple Haze said, the CVO is a much cheaper customizing option than going it alone, but you'll probably park right next to an identical bike at the next Harley function..
I believe there are over 4,800 CVO Deuces produced between 2003 and 2004.
