What's with all the crap on these sites why do they make it so hard to send a message and ask a question , same as the Jag club I went on and left it as that was S***
Any way hi guys new here , I don't know if you will see this and if you reply I do not know if I will find it
I have a Softail Deuce yesterday riding lost my gears bike running ok but went to change down and nothing
I would have to keep trying to select a gear 3 or 4 times then get a gear, would find first then go in to second nothing until kept selecting same in all gears
Harry, I don't understand your complaint about "these sites". This was post number 1 for you here? Lots of forum moderators are careful about a first-time poster.
Your problem might be something as simple as a shifter pedal pivot which needs to be cleaned and lubricated.
I haven't the slightest clue as to what you just posted..........
It sounds like the OP has a problem finding gear. He tries to shift either up or down with no luck. He has to try to get into gear several times before it goes into gear.
Sounds like the clutch needs adjustment or the transmission is out of oil or the shifting forks are gone or all of the above.
I'm not sure but I think he said and or he meant that he was not happy with the OTHER sites and it's ease of use and that is why he is now here, maybe I'm wrong.
How many miles on the bike Dude? I'm starting to notice on mine that when down shifting, especially when going for 4th, it's not grabbing. My 1st move will be to adjust my shifter pivot rod as I am sure it's not my clutch, dirty oil or the lack of oil.
Are you using regular 20/50 in it or do you have gear lube in it? I run the 75/90 in mine which is an 06 Deluxe with a SE 6 speed in it with about 7K on it.
