Performance Machine Brakes on a Springer TC88 (2001)
Ok, it is very confusing to try and determine which brakes will work with which years, so I was hoping someone here knew:
I bought a PM front caliper/mount for my Springer (a 2001 FXSTS). It was sold as a "84 - 99" Springer front caliper, but it fits on mine (using my own lever instead of the supplied one with Heim joints).
My next hurdle is the rear: every caliper/mount I find on fleabay also lists them for "84 - 99" softails--other than the wider swinger in the '07 and later softails, what is the difference between the later generation EVO softail swingarms and the TC swingarms? Will the brake caliper mounts interchange?
Also, anyone use floating rotors with the PM calipers on a Springer? Do the buttons interfere with the mount?
