Default Memphis Shades

Any one riding with one of their sport line shade like the Rio Grande, Del Rio?

The lower portion of the shade can be tinted in diff colors. I think the black tint is probably cool on a black bike. Pretty sure I will get the charcoal grey Slim so not sure if I will get the plain shade or black tint still. I like how the frame of the shade is not as visible as the HDs.

I don't have either of those models, but I do have the Slim windshield from Memphis Shades. I went the black tint.

What height is yours? You can see over it good? I am 5'8". That shade has a more traditional shape I would say. I might just go with that one. Other than the black tint is there any thing else you prefer about it over the HD shields? Not sure if the black would look good on the charcoal gray bike or not. What do you think? Thanks

It is the 15" Slim Night Shade. I'm 5'10" and I can see completely over it. 17" would probably bring it right at my line of sight. Keep in mind that you can adjust the shield up and down 1" and forward and back 1". I keep mine in the lowest position and slightly angled forward.

I was dead set on getting the 13" Fat windshield, but I decided to make a cardboard cutout of the 13" to mock it up on my bike. After seeing it on my bike, it looked too wide on the front end. After having the 15" now, the 13" would have been too short, too.

The only reason I chose this over a HD shield was to get it blackout out.

I found this picture of another members Slim. He has the 13" Fat. I think the black tint looks good with any color Slim.

Cool, thanks for looking up the pic. I do not plan to have the shade on unless its for a 1hr or more ride. So I want to get all the shade I can without compromising looks (too much) for when I do need it.

I am trying to get a bunch of stuff when I purchase the bike. They will either have or order the HD stuff from HD and they will order the non-HD stuff like the Night Shade from Drag specialties I guess.

Do you have the quick disconnect or the trigger mount?

Since that picture I've put apes on my Slim, so I normally don't use the shield unless I'm going to be out on the interstate. It will be nice when the cooler weather moves in.

I have the trigger mount kit. Off in 5 seconds and back on in about 15 seconds.

Okay trigger mount sounds good. Still need the correct PN for the mounting HW. I imagine Drag Spec will know it. I have only looked on the Memphis Shade website anyway.
