Default Floating rotors

Are they worth it? Thinking about switching but I wanted to get some info on them first. Are HD's as good as anyone else's. I have a HHI 6 piston caliper up front and an HD rear caliper with lyndall z plus pads. What do you guys think?

Well here's my take on them. The ones I have used are a better brake. The duals on my Road Glide raddled a bit at low speeds but drug less and stopped better than the stockers. It was an 02 and I don't remember the brand. Now on my Fatboy Lo I have a 13" single with a 6 piston caliper by Performance Machine. No comparison to stock. And to further my opinion of them I was heading to Jerome, Az from Prescott and after turning off the Freeway and braking my brakes didn't release. Having a 124 motor I didn't realize they didn't release for a few hundred yards and pulled over to ck things out. My disc was discolored red and the caliper must have had a rock jamming it because I rolled back a bit and it came free. Figured it was toast cause it was hot enough to brand my glove. Went on with my ride and 4500 miles later still works like a champ with no warping. The disc is still discolored but still works great. They will be going on my Crossbones if I can ever find one and a better caliper to match.

Money would be better spent on EBC HH sintered pads for $30 if youre looking for better braking. Or go 13" rotor like snowy. Maybe an adapter exists for your caliper and get a 13" rotor. Also, I wonder of those 6 piston calipers would work better with a larger MC since the MC is pushing two extra pistons compared top stock. That would also be worth looking into before throwing money at another 11.5" rotor.
