Default High Wind

Recent ride two days ago i was taking a head wind at 75 with my rocker and it scared the **** out of me the wind actually moved my bike about two feet in the other lane, on curves very hard to steer unless i slowed some, mean while my bagger friends were hitting 85 plus never seemed to care about the wind, Has anyone else had trouble in the wind on the rockers, any guidance or experience would help. thanks

Your question didn't belong in the "New Members Area".
It's for introductions. So it was moved in one of the other forums.

If it doesn't feel right then slow down until it does. Simple rule for staying alive.

The way you describe it, you had a cross wind or partial cross wind. I kind of agree with the others, just handle it. Ive ridden in cross winds so bad that i had the bike leaning over almost at a 45 degree angle. It happens. Slow down to the point that you're comfortable and ride your own ride. Don't worry about the other riders. You'll catch back up..

I have both a Limited and a Softail. I can tell you, those big heavy touring bikes do not get bothered by wind hardly at all. My Heritage lets you know it is windy. Do not worry about it. Nothing wrong with you or your bike.

Yes indeed the heavier bikes plow right through. A windshield helps a bunch though.

It's all a part of riding and Rockers aren't the only bikes that are effected by the wind. Using your own words, "taking a head wind at 75" wait until you get into some hefty side winds and have to lean into the wind a lot just to stay upright. Like I said, it's all a part of riding.
