Looking for suggestions on mirrors.
I would like to find a mirror that is narrow but has a wide angle, if possible.
I don't wanna stare at my shoulders all the time, lol.
Prefer a metal mirror.
Do the plastic ones vibrate to much?
Anyone have experience with the Arlen ness micro mini oval? http://www.arlenness.com/prodcat/Mirror31.asp
I put these on my street slammers (when I had them), and they made a bit of a difference over stock. stock i couldn't see anything past my shoulders. with these my shoulders still blocked half of them. Now, of course, they're on top of my ape's, so i can see everything. haha
i haven't seen any plastic mirrors before..not sure i'd trust them. They'll vibrate as bad as the handlebars you mount them to. streetslammers had lots of vibrations, my ape hangers have far less. The ones you've linked to shouldn't be plastic, they should be metal since they're chromed. If they ARE plastic, they sure as hell shouldn't be $50/each.
I hated looking at my shoulders too, so I add some angled, adjustable "bubble" mirrors and put them on the inside part of the mirror. When a car leaves my rear view, the bubble picks them up. When they're beside me, they're still in my bubble view.
I'm running the mini ovals and love them. Convex mirror in a small package, plenty of visibility. I'm running mine undermount so I can't vouch for how they are overmount, but I like them a ton better than the POS plastic Kurycrappin ones I had before.
