Easy enough that I can do it, and if I can anyone can. I used the cone style crush gaskets. I also purchased a new install kit, it came with new flanges, snap rings, nuts, and gaskets.
I can barely boil water and I can do mine. Just get new gaskets and try not to scratch them. I wrapped mine in painters tape before hand just in case.
Be sure and take the advice about using a torque wrench and re tightening the nuts. You will need to re tighten the nuts after you ride the bike and let it cool down completely. Probably have to repeat a couple of times.
2:1 style exhausts are definitely more difficult to install than 2:2. I had definite problems installing mine getting the headers to seat properly and getting everything aligned.
Can ya spin a ratchet? Then you can do this. Just be careful with the rear pipe - carelessness could result in a scratched oil tank.
I did mine a week ago. At the time the bike had about 5-600 miles on it. I didn't change the gaskets and I didn't use a torque wrench to install the new pipes.
The bike now has ~950 miles on it. Everything is still GTG.
I've also had mine off several times and swapped exhaust completely this Spring and have not replaced the gaskets with no issues. the last swap took 45 minutes, start to finish going from Longshots, a 2-2 without a crossover, to Big Shots Long with the crossover.
