Default Chrome Inner Primary Cover

Feeling kinda lazy, so I haven't grabbed the manual out of the garage to do some research, but... Anyone know the complexity of installing a chrome inner primary cover on a Softail with average knowledge? Thinking about going that route eventually. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

I put the Kuryakyn's primary cover on and it looks pretty good. It covers the whole thing and it was very easy to install on my '07. Unless your building a show bike why bother ripping apart the primary to get the same look.

Take a look at this thread. I took pics of when I did mine, and the pics are at the end of the thread. There is also other threads about this if you do a search. It's an easy job, just takes some time. https://www.hdforums.com/m_417410/tm.htm

Thanks for the link, Joe. That is some very thorough info in that thread.

Thorough enough that I just might go with the Kuryakyn cover instead. haha
