i tried to get info on these heads myself.. i know they were available in 2008... my local hd has a set for sale brand new in the box (on the clearance table),, same exact ones new in the box,,, i asked to get more info on them they said they cant call hd and find out,, "its not that easy" i was told....
they share the same part number with the new mcv or mcr heads,, one or the other,, these end with a -03 ,, the new ends with a -08
these heads look like they will need to be refinished,, there is alot of scratches there from somebody using a gasket scraper or razor blade to clean of the gasket that was there... big no no with aluminum...
those scratches are just surface marks from them sitting on a sheet metal shelf. these heads have never been installed so there was no gasket to scrape off. y pics are too big to post but if you email me i can send you pics of the inside of the valve channel to show you that these have zero carbon or fuel residue.
