oil level and temperature dipstick like new used works great. Came off my 2011 softail fbl.

Fits `00-later Softail models (except FXCW, FXCWC, FXSB, FXSBSE and FXSTSSE3).
So if your softail isn't one of these above it should fit i would think.

I would say right on. It always showed full and I checked it manually at times and the stick read full also. Even when I did a oil changed as I drained the oil I checked it and the gage went down with the oil as it was draining
