That sucks there's no word from DD. I really hope he's doin' alright. As far as the Custom goes, other than being lowered 1.5", it's still bone stock. However, on Monday, it's goin' in the shop to have the front end taken off, so I can have the fork lowers and tripple trees powder coated black. I also got some Roland Sands Vintage bars that I'm gonna have powder coated black as well. And I ordered some Arlen Ness mirrors and got some black levers and new grips. So the front end will look completelly different in a couple weeks. My Martin Bros pipes finally came in, so they'll be put on while the bike's in the shop as well, but that's assuming the Thundermax I ordered gets here in time. The Wimmer air cleaner I had on the Deuce will be put on at that time as well. So nonetheless, over the next couple weeks, the Custom will be getting quite the makeover. I've been havin' some fun with the Sportster my wife doesn't want to ride anymore, also. I just put a spring seat on it, and it's getting some black mini apes, mirrors, levers, and grips on Monday also. And I have to admit, riding that Sportster is way more fun than riding a Softail, and that's including the Deuce. But it's an around town bike, because there's no way I could ride that thing any distance. The Softail is WAY more comfortable. If the finances allow it, I would recommend picking up a used 1200 for a play bike. They're a blast.
I hope all is well for you and everyone else in here. I need to stop in here more often. I see the Deuce family has grown. It's as if a few people left, and others filled the void with some nice lookin' bikes. I'll try not to be such a stranger. Ride safe.
PS I still have a Deuce Quick Release windshield that's been used once that I'm willing to sell. If anyone wants it, send me a PM.

When all the mods are installed, I want to be the first one
to nominate you for the BOTM contest. I'm making a mental
image of the mods you've mentioned and it shouldlook killer.
Keep us posted.
I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm sure I'll want to show off the new mods anyway. This is just the beginning, though. I need to decide what I want to do after this is done. I can't decide if I want to get new wheels next, or get it painted. I'm kinda startin' to like the stock paint, but if I decide to keep it, I'm gonna have to figure out a way to make it stand out more. I'm also thinking about having a custom sissy bar made. I want to keep the stock seat since it's so comfortable, so I have to get a sissy bar that will allow the seat to mount to it. So many ideas, and not a big enough bank account..... I'm sure everyone in here can relate to that.
