Looking good Johny but can't say I'm feeling the heart land fender. I'd do just a simple flat fender and leave it at that. I'm thinking like 97 that it is going to look to modern.
But that's just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions!
Johnny Humble, that machine of yours is pretty wicked! Somehow the lines are just spot on, with a clear line from head bearings down to rear axle. Shame about the lack of mudguards (ok, fenders then, you American lot..) as I'd get fed up with a skunk back this side of the rainstorms.
Anyone of you guys got your stock exhaust laying around, and you want to get rid of cheap? Want to do something different on my Deluxe. Something like this,
I got a lot of heart into this one. My first bike. I just got it put back together. I got ran over on a surface street back in June. Hope yall like her.
Springer Mike....Your scooter is fricken KILLER.....Love the lines and the Bars....Simply....Poetry in Motion...Awesome job brah.....Ride on...D
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to post a pic of my new to me ride (07) I have already spent some money since i took this pic. New seat is on its way (badlander) better looking then the sofa seat thats on there. And i have added some chrome bolt ons already. But now the fun starts with lowering it, and some new wheels. Maybe a 21/18 combo. Just wondering what you guys used for lowering the front end? and what size wheels you guys are running. Hope to learn as much as i can, and sure as heck can't wait till the snow is gone.
Nice Springer YNot. I lowered mine with the Burly/White Bros kit which brought it down by 1.5". It's better than the rocker-type kits. 21/18 wheels on mine.
Thanks 97FXSTSB. You have a damn sick springer your self. Hey quick question for you. That lowering kit you have is that front & rear or just rear? I started looking at wheels yesterday, but just not sure which type i want. Wire wheels, or cast wheels. I like the ones the CNC guy has on his bike, & his wifes bike, but not sure it would work with my bike.
I added a 16x5.5 rim and 180 rear tire using the STOCK swingarm and pulley on my '05 Classic. I also added a Model A Duolamp Re-pop tailight. I think this takes my little scoot to a whole new level. I am working on the re-mounting of the fender and heartland struts, but am riding it like this for now...hopefully I don't slide off
I learned a ton through this whole deal, but I had help from several on this board. so thanks to all.
Wow. Is that the same bike that you told your wife was "perfect" when it was stock and you wouldn't need to anything to it? LOL! Just busting your *****, bro!!! It looks sick!
Thanks! I installed the White Bros kit up front and 422s to bring the rear down. I like spokes but I think either would work on yours.
