Thanks to you and JB for the advise on the V&H slip on fishtails2. Put on today. All the tips were very helpful including where to order to save $$$. Couldn't be more pleased.
Thanks Eze. Yeah, I was blown away when the salesman cranked the bike. There was no shake at all thanks to the balanced engine. My Roadie quivers like Shakira! I really think I'm going to make the move. That bike just speaks to me! Like I say, my biggest concern is long distance trips. I never see springers on the road alot, usually just at a rally or two. But, I think this is the bike for me. I can't wait to become an H-D man.
Iâve done maybe half a dozen 200-300mi days and one 500 last summer and no problems at all. The one thing I did do was dump the stock seat for a good gel seat best thing I could have done.
Nice looking Springer. I like the looks of the pipes with the turnout.
BuB Jug Huggers...ya can't see the rest of the stuff like twisted stainless spokes, cables and all fasteners, 8" dog bone risers...the 98" Revolution kit, cams etc...(98 HP/112 TQ) only thing I didn't do was the paint
Ok....I've decided it's definately the Springer Classic!
When I visited the dealer last week, they had just received a sunglo blue classic from another dealer and she was beautiful. I'm not a big fan of the blue, but it looked great. When I called yesterday with a question, he told me they just got three more Springer Classics in and they were Black, Black Cherry and another sunglo blue. I LOVE black bikes and all of the pic's I've seen on this site seem to be predominately of black bikes. My current ride, the 2000 Roadstar is black as well. I just think big cool cruiser should be black.....then again, I was suprised at how much I liked the blue bike. I would love to get the Black/Cherry Red combo, but the dealers around here don't have any of those in and I don't won't to wait around for one.
My question is, do any of you own or have a cherry bike or a blue bike you can share pics of? And which color is the fastest? LOL!!!!!!
