Any of you guys with a new bike want a set of these? They are like new, had them on my
05 Springer for about 200 miles. They have a nice deep tone but they were not loud enough
for me. I would take $250 for the pair plus shipping.
What the heck. I figured I might as well post some of my newest pics with the latest additions to the bike. I added the rineharts flush cuts, as well as the HD passing lamp kit recently. Hope you all like!
And here's one of my favorite views. Sitting in the saddle looking straight ahead
The lights look great!! Did you install 'em yourself? I'm thinking about adding those for my next mod but working with electrical systems scares the he// out of me.
Thanks Dave. I installed them myself. It's not really difficult at all. But if you do wire them according to the instructions you have to pull the gas tank if you want to run the wires along the frame properly. I had the wiring harness all nicely tucked when I decided to just wire the passing lamps to my headlight. All I needed to do was to attach the hot lead from the passing lamps to the yellow lead of the headlight. Which I did by splicing it inside the headlight shell. All I had to do is feed the passing lamp lead through the headlight grommet in order to get a nice clean install and get the wire to where I needed it. Before feeding it through I put some heat shrink insulation over the wire. Ground is inside the passing lamps so no messing with it. I have to add that I had problems with the supplied wiring harness for the passing lamps. Couldn't get them to work using it. But I wanted to go directly to the headlight initially anyway so I ended up doing exactly what I wanted. I wasn't sure about the draw on the fuse with the extra lights but haven't had any problems. Direct wiring also eliminated the need for a seperate switch for the passing lamps. I'm sure this all sounds like mambo jumbo to you without seeing it but feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Lights are great. I love them. Bought them to be more visible but they really add to the look of the bike and I love the look from my saddle. Scott
I purchased the HD aux. light kit for my '05 FLSTSC and installed it myself also. I used the wiring kit and followed the instructions but mine does not work either. I am thinking about wiring it the same way that you did but would prefer to use the standard wiring. The instructions are pretty straight forward and I have done some wiring on about everything that I own. I figured that I got a bad relay or something till I read that you had problems too. Now I am really curious as to what the problem could be. I ordered mine online so I can't really go to the local dealer for resolution without spending big bucks. Anybody else have any secret installation knowledge?
