Dude, love the pipe and the blacked out look. I am going down the same path. I have a 96 but can't post a pic right now cause of the size limit. I'll post one tonight if I get on. What bars did you use they look great. Like the black rims too.

thanks skullhead. i've blacked out even more since this pic was taken. i powder-coated the controls, pegs, horn and timing covers, kickstand, brake and shifter levers, and turn signal housings. by bars are chubby drags with HD nostaligia grips, also coated. look forward to seeing your bad boy!
i saw your pics skull. nice! don't see many bad boys! if you go with drags, you'll have to relocate your tun signals. i made my own relocating brackets that mount to the springer. if theres anything else you want to know about it, just post here.
Thanks man, the shot with the solo seat is how it looks now. I'll have to get some other current ones out there. I found those bars they are exactly what I have been looking for.
How did you lower the front end? Did you cut it or does someone make a kit?
Thanks,
Yes those are panhead style rocker box covers. I went through quite an ordeal getting them, but WAY WAY worth it. It is my favorite modification so far. Other mods include Sampson true duals (they weren't on for the last photo uploaded), Power commander usb, nostalgic grips and air cleaner cover, passing lamps, and others. This winter I'm doing my serious performance mods which include boring up to 95" and replacing heads (S&S), valve train (gear drive cams), and associated breathing equip. The parts are in hand and all I need is miserable weather to justify hobbling my baby for a while. Here are a few shots of my trip to Sturgis this year, they show it off pretty good. And for anyone who thinks a heavy bike isn't any fun in the twisties, take a close look at my floorboards, I just love throwing those sparks and leaving a little bit of my bike on any curve worthy of it.
Hey guys here is a link to Cyborg Cycles, once in the site select online catolog on theleft then scroll down the menu select Rocker covers........ and the Pan Head and Knuckle Head covers will be able to be seen
Well it was a nicer day today so I shot some more pics of my 2006 Springer Classic this time without the saddlebags and a new addition of my chrome sprocket cover.
