What? Nobody like purple?? I think it's cool looking, and different. Kind of like my tu-tone Ruby/Victory red Springer. Probably the only one of the few around with the factory painted 5 gallon fat bob tanks.
Wayne, who's the vendor for the front wheel? I really like it.

Thx.. It's actually HD Chrome LightningStarâ„¢ Custom Wheel ..
Yeah, it was really depressing to let it go, but I recovered enough financially this year to get a new bare-bones Street Bob. Iexperienced what I already knew regarding the First Rule of Playing With Old Cars: it isalways cheaper to buy one that is finished than it is to restore one. But it came out really nice...it's a '61 Impala SS bubbletop 4-speed.
I ordered the bags from Osprey Limited (www.saddlebags.net). The bags had quick detach mounts soI could take them off in about 10 seconds. They were really nice, well-made heavy leather bags, and way less expensive than the ones that H-D had in the catalog. The teardrop trim matched the factory trim on the seat and tank nicely, too. Thanks for the kind words, by the way.
Here is my bike (hopefully it will show up in the sig.....). I bought it in late '06. I love this bike, its everything I ever wanted in a Harley.
I shot this in my studio in Manchester NH last week. Right now its in the shop getting a total face lift. I got a set of black fender and tank, Lindby road bars, and an awesome set of custom cases from BB Reproductions ( http://www.bbreproductions.com/index.htm). I will also be adding white walls in a few weeks.
I have the Screaming Eagles on now, but am not too happy with them. Will have to find some better pipes.
If anyone is interested in the fenders and tank shown, drop me a line. They are in nice shape.
