Just flip through HIS GALLERY and you will see what I mean. The guy makes seats for every major bike builder. Some of them, like Sucker Punch Sally, use him exclusively. You pay a little more, but you get what you pay for. IMHO, the only guy in the same league as him is Paul ***, but I think Duane has even surpassed him.
The seat pan is from NYC Choppers, but the leather is what makes the difference.

I bought the Shade Tree fender, painted and pin striped, for about $1200 .
Then it broke because the "bolt on" brackets were cheap garbage, so I fixed it, and had it repainted.
Then the bracket broke again. This time I had 2 steel brackets welded to the fender, and had the struts welded to the frame. Then repainted and pin striped.
Now the fender is so sturdy, I could carry a pillion on there if I wanted, but because of all the dicking around, it cost me between 4 and 5 grand. You could easily do it for half that amount if you do it right, right from the get go. That fender could be had from the original manufacturer (I forget who that is, but some of the guys on the board must know) for $600. Then fabricating the brackets, welding them on, and painting and pin striping will probably cost another $1500 or so. Just be sure they use strong steel because every bump in the road puts a lot of pressure on the brackets.
Here are some pics of the process:

PS, I have since learned how to weld. That's a skill that can save you big $$$.
thanks again
