I heard thru the grapevine Lake Lure is becoming unfriendly towards motorcyclist. Has anyone heard anything to validate this or is it just a rumour? I know they have torn down Margaritaville. Just curious if anyone has any info.

Yep. That's my take on it. We where just up there and it seems the whole town has turned this way. As for Margaritaville.. It wasn't tore down. It just changed owners. Details, I know not but I know the new owners are the source of most of this anti-biker hype.

Not Lake Lure, Its just been said that the new owner of the Margaritagrill isn't biker friendly. Just go on up the road to the Geneva Inn. Great tiki bar by the pool and lots of bikes. Its behind the motel by the river.
