Default MB Rally Hotel Info

Snort went to MB this weekend and found a Good Hotel. The Bar Harbor Motor Inn.
I don't know of this place but he said it was a good place......considering you get certain rooms...
He can tell you more about that.
So I thought I would post the email he sent me with the info about the place.Considering it has parking for bikes and trailers and then with in crawling distance you may all want to check this place out.
We are going to go down this weekend and I plan to check the place out personaly since we'll be downthere anyway.
If anyone else has ever used this place maybe you can give your input as well

Email:

The motel is the Bar Harbor Motor Innhttp://www.bar-harbor.com/ at 1st Avenue in Myrtle Beach. NOTE: DO NOT use MapQuest to get directions, it will send you to North Myrtle Beach! (Don't ask me how I know) This place is at 1st Avenue, Myrtle Beach. This is an older motel but it is clean and they want the biker crowd to be there.
This is for the SOUTH Tower Rooms 246-248, 344-348, and 444 are all available as of 8/25 (Saturday night)
Wednesday night is $39.00, Thursday is $49.00, and Friday and Saturday are $69.00 each for a total of $226.00 + $24.86 = $250.86 for 10/3-10/7.
They would not let me block the rooms off so it is first come, first served. They want reservations with one nights deposit by phone. The number is 1 800 334-2464. You will need to specify that you want one of these rooms.
There is a parking lot directly in front of these rooms that is reserved for bikes only. It is not covered but is directly in front of this building and is the top portion of an underground parking area which is also available but not just for bikes only. There is also a reserved/covered parking area for bikes only at the main building right beside the South Tower.
There is PLENTY of truck and trailer parking across the street and it is owned by Bar Harbor.
There are two floors below the 200 level but I do not recommend those rooms. They are ground level to the parking area but some are handicap access and are not worth staying in. That said, I stayed in another room and saw two more and all were clean, with refridgerators, mini-kitchen, ocean view, etc.
Two blocks north and south there is food, mixed drinks, beer, and wine available. There is a beer store 3 blocks south. The Dog House is straight out towards Business 17, about 8 blocks.

Imeant to include that the reserved parking area below the rooms overlooks Ocean Blvd by one story, and hooting, hollering, and people watching is expected from that area

Just made reservations. Still rooms left. Be sure to ask for the south tower, 2nd, 3rd or 4th floors.
