2024 Hurricane Alley Rally
This year they are predicting, over the course of the week, 175,000 to 250,000 bikes and bikers. Friggin Awesome every time.
They say the chances of scientists explaining how the curvature of the earth effects the air flow through the bottom of your filter differently than the top should be at a minimum. Stopping to check the temperature of your oil will be rare if not non existent. People explaining HD extortion, warrantee hostage programs and law suits will also be discouraged as far as I know.
Bike Week is always great and we have been to several cities hosting these events for many many years and they are also always great.
We plan to ride down to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday for three days since we are off. Still looks like SC has lost a lot of vendors to TN.

I have heard from some guys that lots more bikes used to come in minus the effect of the Hurricane they were predicting 175,000+ this year.
We usually do 1 of the charity rides and the groups of bikes are always 200+ kinda also dont remember noticing any downsizing of vendors. They most travel to both SC & Tenn
With pressure from the hotels and restaurants plus others from the loss of revenue they loosened the restrictions. We hoped things would get back to normal. Too many people said screw MB. Then Murrells Inlet picked up the slack and it was still worth going, at least to the spring rally, just much smaller.
Last year we saw a huge decline of both bikes and vendors for the fall rally. The Smoky Mt event put a hurt on them.
We were down for the spring alley this year and I was shocked. Other than Murrells Inlet no other vendors even came until Wednesday, there was nothing at Barefoot Landing which used to be huge.
We were scheduled to try Smoky Mt this year and the hurricane/tropical storm put an end to that for us. We are heading down to MB on Tuesday. I think the fact that our favorite ocean front hotel that gets $300 per night peak season is only $99.00 a night during bike week speaks volumes.
For us it’s the ride, food and weather. Have fun and wave if you pass a Snake Venom Street Glide Special.

So this is the only stuff that we have seen, known and experienced every year. Lot of guys who have been coming here longer share your input. Glad the weather has been beautiful so far ... Love "Snake Venom" ,,, Stay safe
We have enjoyed our time here at MB. To be clear we like the area and have been coming here regularly for almost 40 years.
While smaller and not what it once was, the rally was far better than nothing at all.
Great weather and we hate to have to leave today.
Thanks and ride safe.

Not really knowing anything different since our arrival here in 2018, this years "Fall Rally" was obviously badly affected by the 5 neighboring states (most popular bike week attendee states for us) which were so tragically hit with the Hurricane. I agree that 1000's of bikes is definitely better than "nothing at all" but 10's of thousands is 10 times the fun as well. Glad you came here and hope you had a good time.
