We bought or Ultra from the Jackson, TN branch. My wife and I both went through Riders Edge instructed by David (Jackson) and Joe (Whitten Road). We stop by all the Bumpus Branches when we're near them. Generally speaking they're good people. I've had some ups and downs with a couple parts people but they always make it right. Nobody's perfect. The folks here in Jackson, TN really do give a sh*t when it comes to customer satisfaction. What more can I ask for? Of course now, I don't have any reservations about "kickin' up a little dust" if I think I'm gettin' the short end or sub-par service.
I took the Riders Edge course from them last summer and my wife is taking it from them this month. Their nice people and I've got alot of great treatment from them even though I did not purchase my bike from them. Mike, Danny and the rest of the sales and parts people all know me by name when I walk in now. I've discovered since buying my bike that HD truley stands for "Hundered Dollars".
Typical HD Dealer. Got both good and bad. Rossmeyer, the guy who owns Daytona HD and a few other HD Dealers recently purchased the DeSoto County HD dealership in Horn Lake, MS. and will rename it Southern Thunder HD.
I purchased a Street Glide from the Whitten store in Jan and had a great experience, wife thought so too. Gone to the Collierville store as well for parts and access, the SG is in their shop now for a front brake squeal just before completing a full stop. About a week past their "be ready" date. We'll see if they figure it out. Since Desoto HD's opening some years back, I wasnt impressed with any aspect. Perhaps new ownershipp will make a difference.
Broke down once about 10 miles from them on a Sunday. I was heading for Sturgis. It was Sunday Noon and they were closed. Tow truck driver called Service Manager at home he came in and looked the bike. Said he could fix it easy. 1 hr later I was on my way. They treated me well.
I shop at the bumpus in the burrow and they are great people but the best place in tennessee that i have been to is hd of cool springs great guy's and will treat you right.
