Anyone have any dealings with these folks? I rented from them and have my new ride ordered from their dealership in Collierville, TN. A good experience so far. 'Course I'm easy to get along with. Any other forum members around Memphis?
I just purchased a 06 Ultra Classic from the Collierville shop, great people. I live in Huntsville Al, about 200 miles away and plan to return there for service. Local stealer supposedly treates non-purchasers bad in the service area. I dont plan to find out...
bthrel, Glad to have someone confirm my experience so far. They are closest to me. I went by Desoto HD and no one spoke to me. Did they give you any incentive to return--like a free service, discounts on parts or accessories, etc? Who did you deal with? I bought mine from Peggy. Happy thus far.
Dealt with Kerry, Got two nice T-shirts (got to pick any one we wanted), something like 15% off on anythign extra purchased that day (and the next), some small freebies from each department manager I was introduced to. Didnt ask about any service or parts as I plan to keep my Ultra stock (check back in a year to see if I stayed strong). I wasnt planning on any extra chrome, but my wife supprised me while there and started talking about how she thought some of it might be needed.. go figure.... Overall great buying expierance.. I think I got a ok deal (my first Harley) got the 06 Ultra Classic, Black, factory security out the door for 21200...
The salesman had to be at lunch when you were there. A friend of mine and I drove 5 hours one way to buy his Road King Classic 3 weeks ago there at Desoto HD because they were giving them away. The salesman would not shut his mouth the whole time we were there. Everybody that came through the door got a rash of **** just to start your visit.
I bought my bike from Bumpus and got a good price on the bike. The buying experience is good. The service experience caused me to contemplate murder to their lying, incompetent techs and service managers. I have my bike serviced elsewhere now. BTW, you won't get so good a price if you don't know who to deal with. In summary, Bumpus sucks. Sorry to be so vague.
I bought my Sporty from the one on Whitten. Awesome experience! I have delt with both stores in Memphis, both had great staff. Very friendly and professional.
Hey just bought a SG from jason in Collieville Bumpus.Got a good price on my bike plus a 1,000 worht of incentives too. People were good to me there. Now the bumpus in memphis(whitten road) are a joke. I asked four different HD shops about have some work done on my bike, they were $2600 more than the next dealer.
