Default Myrtle Beach Demo Rides

Did the demo rides. Rode just for **** and giggles”
Nightster – nice little bike if I was a half foot shorter
Road Glide – Just didn’t like it.
V-Rod – 95 mph up the entry ramp. Still don’t like the geometry of it but like the engine
Fat Bob – Change the forward controls to mids and I could really like this bike.

SE RK Classic with ABS – I did everything I could to try and get the brakes to break loose. Got in the suicide lane and hit them in the sand, hard braking. I finally got one chirp by taking it up to 70mph and stomping the rear brake with no front. I got one chirp and then it kicked in and stopped it smoothly. I wish they offered as a retrofit.

Saturday rode to Sweatman's between Holly Hill and Eutawville. About 112 miles one way the route we took. Once we got off the 4-lines west of Georgetown Hwy 45 is a nice road. Mustard base BBQ. Pretty good for a change. Never seen a BBQ place that separates the meat the way they do. All in all I think Shuler’s is better.

I was on the way back home sat and saw about six of those three wheeled polaris thingy's on a test ride on hwy 31. Seemed to be doing ok, but the suspension looked alot spongy. I think I'll stick with two wheels myself.

Did the demo rides on Weds. No real lines, and had my choice of rides within 20 min everytime.

1. Wide Glide. Sweet take off, and good performance even with that skinny tire
2. Heritage Classic. (Copper top) Might be a good 1 up bike, but wife and I together Sucked bigtime. Now I know why I bought a RK.
3. Sportster 1200 nightster. Sweet bike got it moving right along
4. Road Glide. Dont think I could ever get used to the fixed fairing
5. Street Glide. Not nearly as comfy as my Road King Classic. No wonder I fitted my RK with a fairing

Great demo, and plenty of time to try things out

Frank

Same here. Eat breakfast at 7:30 or so. No lines.

Show up at the demos before 9 and no lines. Easy to ride what you want.

This weekend will be easier.
