call it georgetown county fall rally now...
boycot Myrtle beach not the surrounding area that have no part of this whole political bullsh%t. i live outside city limits thank god and try my hardest not to make it into the city limits. theres plenty of things to do outside the city.
so you don't make to the harley shop while you're here big deal.
the city will soon realize that their fighting an uphill battle....
just remember who not to vote for in the future.
Anybody that goes to Myrtle Beach should be ashamed. You will be looked down upon by the thousands of bikers that spent millions of dollars over the past 60 some years that are no longer welcomed by the city we've supported for so long.
Make a stand bikers!
so what am i supposed to do lose the money i paid for my room before all this started?Ive spent just as much money as any other biker over the years down there and im as pissed off as anybody about what the beach is trying to do to us bikers, but at the same time my rooms been paid for since the spring rally and they arent gonna refund it to me, so yes im going, but i dont intend to spend one penny in the city limits of myrtle beach. i also intend to let them know im just not gonna tuck my tail between my legs and and go away. thats not my style.thats what they are hoping is that we will all just go away without a fight, but im from south carolina and i pay taxes here and thats a public beach and public streets and they arent running me anywhere, and thats just how i feel. I am gonna make a stand and let them know how i feel. im not just gonna go away! making a stand is not giving in to them and doing what they want. making a stand is saying this is a public beach and public streets and im gonna come here and spend my money in other parts of the county and you have to put up with me and not get my money!

One thing visitors need to watch for is the cops. The say they are going to be enforcing noise ordanances. I did a quick search and from what I found out is that basically it is up to the cops as to what is acceptable or not. I could not find a decible level/distance. We could all be walking out of the beach with tickets for loud pipes if you have anything other than a stock set up.
I see your point. The biggest thing we can do is not spend one cent that will benefit the city. I feel sorry for the business owners that have always welcomed us twice a year. Its up to them to elect new councel members. Not only should we boycott MB bike weeks, but also we shouldn't go there to vacation any other time of the year. It is a public beach, so enjoy, just leave your money at home.

And what stand would that be?? Letting a few yuppies dictate where you ride? The businesses in Myrtle Beach still want you there. It is the thugs from Black Bike Week that are ruining it for everyone. They can't single them out or the NAACP and ACLU would be all over them. They can refuse to issue vendor permits, but they can't keep the bikers out. I don't go for the vendors anyway.
Im going to the fall rally, and im going to spend my money with the business of myrtle beach that Ive dealt with before. I had a 15minute talk with my hotel today about with what is going on down there, they made it very clear that they wanted my business now and in the future. Small business owners and the chamber of commerce will figure something to do with dumb *** politicians and a hand full of Blue hairs that complain about everything.

Nobody can dictate where we ride! But it is our choice who we give our hard earned money to! You are exactly right about that fact they cant single them out!!!!!!!!!!
I will be there on friday evening and staying at the vancouver motel, if anybody wants to get together for a ride and some beer. let me know. my cell # is 843-439-0429
