I may be. I have to work tonight so will be tomorrow before I can talk to my wife about any other plans. If nothing is going on I can probably do Sunday afternoon. What do you have in mind?
Just watched the WX in WIS TV. It looks like Sat will be the best day with 30% chance of rain. It will be the dryer of the two days. The Front is south of us in Ga. Sunday it moves back up to central SC with a good chance of afternoon storms like we have been having. Sunday morning would probly be good and be back home by 1 or 2 pm.
I live in Pine Ridge depending on where you live we can pick the direction. I know some good backroads to Santee with a 2hour loop or 4 hour loop. On Sunday we could leave about 10 and be back by 2. I also know a 4 hour loop on back roads to Chester.
I saw the post about Gastonia HD closing. They have a bike museum. That would make a good day ride on Sat.
The best I can do is Sunday afternoon. I have church Sunday morning and some honeydo's today. I work every other weekend and this is my weekend off. I have a couple days off during the week. That's usually my best chance for a day long ride.
I haven't heard that about Gastonia closing. Thats a real shame. I can think of alot of other dealers to close before that one should. I have always had a pleasant time there buying anything or not. They have the custom shop also. Maybe things aren't going well for them since Click passed or maybe there is no interest without him there. If I had the 3 million to buy into it I would. However I am about 2,995,000 short.

I'm with you on that, Vet. I, too, am about $2,995,000 short.
I'm considering takin the ride up there to let them check why my rear cylinder is running so darn hot since a day ride I took the MB bike week back in May.
Someone suggested merely placing a heatshield over the rear headpipe. I don't run heatshields on my Thunderheader. Normally I would agree with that suggestion but have ridden that bike with a thunderheader for over a year without heatshields and never had a problem.
I talked to the service guy at Gastonia and asked him about Charlotte HD which is a little closer to my house. He said "They send most of their bikes to us here." I don't know how true that is and whether he was just trying to get some business.
With more people doing their own service and/or searching out good indy shops to deal with, we're going to be seeing more and more dealers closing.
No storms hit me at all. Nothing even close. It may as well had tho, I didn't get to ride anyway. If things go my way I will ride most all day this Friday. Anyone want to meet or ride along. No paticular place to go, just going.
Word on the street is carolina hd's bbq cook off this friday and saturday is when they are going to have the big sale. I heard they have to be out of the building by Jan1. Soon after the bbq cook off this weekend they will be going by a name similar to Click motorsports or Baldwin motorsports or something to that effect. Seems the moco has given them an ultimatum, give it up or have it taken. Anyway, I will be there Friday at some point. Probably head that way before lunch and eat something in that area. Hang around and see if I can get a deal on something or another. Anyone wanting to tag along is welcome. I live in Lancaster.
I am planning on some riding Wednesday while I am off. Anyone else able to ride or interested in a meet post up or pm me. Head out that morning be home by 3. Lancaster
