Haha yeah. He's a great guy though so we try not to hold it against him too much. It's really his wife's fault he's on a GW. We do a lot of mountain trips and rides to FL and she would never ride a Harley cuz it vibrates her 5'0" 110lb frame too much lol. Gotta keep the OL happy I guess.

Your so right I wish mine rode with me more.......I even bought a king tour pack and that hasn't helped any......lol but I would ride alone way before buying a gold wing any day lol
^^^what that guy said. my wife wont even ride with me on the interstate, so that means most of our trips are just within town. i gotta buy a backrest and stuff for her, then i could get her on the highway.
I must be lucky then (depending on your perspective) - my wife rides everywhere with me, for the most part. There are times when she will choose to stay home and do the woman thing though. It's mainly when the other guy's wives that we ride with aren't riding that day. She hates being the only lady out riding with a bunch of guys. Which works for me because it is real nice not having to worry about the OL and her slapping me upside the head when I feel like opening up the throttle on the interstate. She also won't ride if there is any chance whatsoever of rain. I'm with you though, Tripp. I would ride solo before ever buying a Goldwing. I rode his the day he bought it and hated it. It's just not for me. I'll buy a Harley trike or a sidecar before I ever would even consider a GW.

Yes you are part of the lucky few.......I wish there was a way I could get her to ride more.....its seems like a when I bug her a bunch to ride she does so I guess thats what I am going to have to do....lol she even said last time wow this really makes you happy doesnt it......we will see in time...but sometimes out of no where she will want to ride which is really good.....
Yeah, that's cool. I find that riding with other couples helps a lot in getting her to ride. I honestly think that if my friend's wives never rode neither would my wife. We start riding together and our wives hit it off, I bet yours will be more interested in riding. Hopefully for you anyways. That way for her it's not entirely about riding and bike stuff, but moreso about socializing with girlfriends.

I think it's my fault my wife won't ride. We took a few trips together around town - no longer than an hour or so at a time. Then, our first long trip was 8+ hours in the saddle. She was not happy!
