Has anyone heard of this or been to this. I looks like a really good time and only a couple hours from the house.

HHmmm, must be a different event. The one I remember was down the road a bit off of I95/301 heading towards parkton.

Not much room in the dog house parking lot. I heard the first yr one was a bit lame, but I think that was from bad advertising, last yrs I heard was a bit better.

I might make it there for a day to check it out. Heck, it's only about 10 mi from the house.

I actually heard the opposite. Heard the first year they had it, in Parkton, it was pretty good. Plenty of room, bring your own beer, enjoy the bands in the open space.
Then last year it was all held at the Doghouse, and was lame. Anyone that's been to the Doghouse knows they have a small parking lot and charge the most, in Fayetteville, for a bottle of beer.
My "source" for that believes that when it was held in Parkton, the owners of the Doghouse couldn't get a permit to sell alcohol in another county, and didn't make any money from alcohol sales. That's why last year's event was moved to the Doghouse location on Owen Drive.
Of course, this is all here-say, as I haven't been in town for the rally either year (this is the 3rd year they've sponsored the rally). The only way to form an opinion is to give it a visit.

On a side note; Don't forget about the Smoke Out in Rockingham on June 25 & 26 http://www.thehorsemag.com/Pages/Smo...XI_homeMS.html , or the Easy Riders Rodeo, held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds, July 9-11. http://www.easyridersevents.com/even...eo-Tour--Rally
Both are pretty darn good.

Well I guess I will take my chance on that one. At least it is a good ride over there and back.

As for Smokeout that is a good time. Anyone who has not been would suggest going. Leaving next Friday for that, camping on the grounds Fri and Sat and then returning Sun. Should be a good time. Been to the last 2 and had a good time.
