Bikes, Blues, and BBQ was another success.
They are still adding up the numbers but they reported on the local news that was had over 400,000 people this year ( based on what I don't know ) and they estimated 130,000 bike.
Eureka Springs is a great place and all the roads around it.
Don't know 'bout the BBQ, but the Bikes, Blues, & Beer was great!
We said the same thing. We drank
most of our meals. The only BBQ I had
was on the Sat poker run. I know it smelt
good but just seemed like I was
always to busy to sit down and eat.
And you are right 88 is a beautiful ride.
There is a bar down that way its right
on the state line. Literally one side is
Oklahoma the other is Arkansas.
Had great time Friday and then Saturday we hit a deer at 9:45 AM just north of Winslow on Hwy 71 North. Spent 3 hours in the ER and my wife spent 13, but we are going to be ok, no broken bones, just a lot of road rash and some scratched up helmets, face shield and leather jacket. I can tell you I felt pretty helpless when I saw bambi at windshield level at my right 15 feet ahead and I was doing 55-60 MPH. It appears we hit the deer with left side of the fairing and there was deer hair all over the bike and my wife's jeans.
My Street Glide that was sporting new custom paint for a whopping 90 days, will get to be put together all over again. Still awaiting estimates on that and I think I'll just get back on the horse, 13 years, 55,000 miles and 1 serious accident, maybe I now have that lurking issue out of the way
