Going to Skyline drive next weekend from PA. What way is nicer southbound or northbound?

 

It's a great ride either direction. Just take your time so you don't miss anything.

 

Just trying to figure out a nice 2 day loop.

 

Beautiful ride it is. Kinda funny but I live 10 minutes from the north entrance and havent been up there for probably 10 years. Hope you had a good time.

 

It's an awfully nice trip by car. I can only imagine how enjoyable it must be on a bike. My wife and I plan to make that trip in the spring.

 

yeah its def beautiful up there, I'm origionaly from PA and now I live in Charleston SC. I haven't been up there in some time(Skyline Drive) although we trek up to PA 2 or 3 times a year. I'm planning a two week circle this spring/early summer with the bike from Charleston all the way up to the coast to New York and then back down I-81 with a stop by the Skyline. Been wanting to do it for a long time.

 

Heh, I live in the DC suburbs and trek down to Charleston to see family. Rather than taking the grey slab next time, do you have a recommendation? Depending on when I leave, I make a stop overnight if it's late, or go all the way through if I leave in the morning.
