I didn't see this earlier, ****** you could have a group meet somewhere on your side and we could meet below on my side and all meet up at the Gap and then do my other suggestion.
O-k how about this, meet at Tellico Plains TN. Sat. morning early Oct. 14 2006 gas up, then head out to the Cherohala Skyway to Deals Gap, ride the Gap out and back and then on to hwy 28 to Cherokee NC.. Lunch stop and then to Maggie Valley and to the Wheels of Time Museum in Maggie Valley. http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ spend the night, and part our ways on Sunday
If we do all this in one day we will have to be fairly efficent in our ride times but I think we could get it all done in one day.
I'm just trying to get this up and running and all suggestions are welcomed.

Sounds good John I'll schedule it and stay in touch between now and then. We are doing a Major expansion at my work. Several million dollar, we are scheduled to have thebrunt of it done by then. I am ready for a trip like that and would love to see several members who issed the SE HDF Rally. OK anyone wanting to ride another week-end like the 30th let me know. I am pretty sureI can do a I day trip that week end. So as it now stands, the Cherohala (sp) Oct.14th and an Open Ride the 30th.
Well, let me know either send me a PM or write: hackfabrication@hotmail.com. The 30th is probably a bit tight for me...More likely Oct 7th, 14th, or even the 21st (I aint afraid of the cold).....
I'm checking into the Dragons Schedule and the CVO Sites Rally Schedule. I'll let ay all know what I find out as soon as I get some info. I'm up for whatever. The Dragon may be out but the area is HUGE, we can do something!
The Dragon Calendar and the general Area look to be packed for the rest of good riding season up there. Oct 5-8 Smoky mountain Bike week at Fontana Village, gurantees a HUge Crowd, Oct. 7-8 the Mustang Club is at the Dragon, Oct 12-15 the HD CVO owners Group is in Maggie Valley. looks crowded to me. Any other ideas?
I envy you guys who can take the Crowds at the bigger Events. Not my cup of Joe. looking for no crowds and empty roads! I know around the Dragon, Western NC or Eastern Tn areas this is impossible. But lets try for at least an off week end, and then y'all that attend the Bigger events can use the entire next year tryin to get me to attend one! hahahahaha
As it now stands i am going to ride the Asheville NC area (250 mile radius) Sept 30th and do my best to make the Dragon area Oct 14th. We have had FROST in the upper eleavations already so the 14th of Oct may be a little late for a Tail run! Y'all keep this goin! Suggest away!
