I'm just outside Chattanooga, so I'm not to familiar with housing in that area. Hopefully someone from around the south side of Knoxville can help you out. My wife has family out towards Sevierville; it seems like a nice area from the times I've been out there. I guess it depends on what you're looking for - apartments, subdivision, countryside, etc. I've also learned local newspapers are good resources to learn where not to live, lol.
Welcome to Tennessee I moved here 3 years ago and love it. I hope you like orange.
Your moving to one of the best motorcycle riding areas in the country. I have a place in Kodak just north of Mareville as the locals pronounce it. I bought my Street Bob from Smokey Mt. HD in Maryville. A great bunch of people. They are riders.
I suggest picking up a Dual Sport, it will open up a whole new world of riding in the area.
Moving there next summer myself, really looking forward to it. So many great places to live in eastern Tenn its hard to decide. Spent last summer in Gatlinburg for vacation and spent half the time riding up and down from Johnson City to Tellico Plains. Almost settled on Greenville, looked at a house last month while passing through. I think my heart is set on Johnson City area. Good luck to you and enjoy your new home!
