I need some suggestions for a nice uncrowded Beach to stop at for a day or so somewhere between Jaxville and Daytona.Me and the family are going to disneyworld in feb and want to hit a beach on the way home.Looking on the map,How is traveling up the A1A?Ive been to Daytona but want something a little different,Thanks
Got the perfect place for ya RWJJR! Cresent Beach. It's just south of St. Augustine, not too crowded and a very nice beach! I live in middle Georgia but I'm from that area originally. Check out the Ocean Gallery: www.theoceangallery.com I'm not sure if they have a minimum stay or not. There are some hotels a little farther north in Cresent. Flagler Beach is pretty nice but your separated by A1A from the ocean.
More.... A1A is THE beach road to travel(as long as your not in a hurry). US1 is a little faster. A1A is really nice between Daytona and St. Augustine. Let me know if ya got any more questions, glad to help!

I second that. A1A is a wonderful leisurely ride with some excellent sights, smells and a few eateries on the 2 hour trip (Jax to Dayt). Crescent or Vilano Beach to answer your original question on where to stay.
The advice above is all good. If you haven't been to St. Augustine with the family, don't miss it. It is truly an American treasure. And, the Vilano Beach area on the north side of the inlet is a favorite spot of mine.
St Augustine is the Oldest City in the US with many attractions won't even try to name them all but is a nice ride although a little crowded at times. If want a little more country can try cutting down 301 to Hwy 100 and go into Daytona that way .. A little out of the way but nice scenery and Hwy 100 is very Biker Friendly as many go that way from Lake City where I live to Daytona every year..
