NOLA in May
Im headin down to NOLA mid-May. Anyone know of any places to go outside of the 1/4 where we are staying. Also lookin to go out in the country for a few day/night rides as well.

Go to Chalmette (I didn't spell that right) Plantation where the battle of New Orleans was fought in The War of 1812. See the museum and take the Ferry to Angier. Tour the place where the Mardi Gras floats are built then take the Ferry there back across to the French Quarter by the Aquarium and Casino.

Just got back from the weekend there. Left Friday morning and headed back Sunday. Only about a 5 hr drive from here. I mainly stayed in the 1/4 although I rode toward Metairie and rode thru the cemeteries also did some riding around the garden district off of St Charles. You must get some beignets at Cafe Du Monde and you should try my new favorite restaurant Coops Place, try the fried chicken or rabbit.
