It is okay guys, thank you for trying though. I had been watching the weather and figured it was going to go bad. I will be back in March and would love to do something then.
Just in case the weather did not clear I started out on a "short" ride yesterday and ended up being gone for a little over 3 hours and broke the 1000 mile mark. So I need to do the service for it anyways before I log too many more miles. It is going to be around 1200 by the time I ride it down the hill and drop it off. Wondering if the service department is going to wag their finger at me......lol

Hi Jake,
Let us know how it looks up there on Wednesday and Thursday, maybe we can get together. Same for when you drop your bike off for service, grab a bite to eat somewhere instead of hanging around the dealer waiting for them to finish it.
Let's leave it tentative for now and see what the forecast looks like in a couple of days. Saturday is looking better for a modifed ride.
Maybe Friday we could go out through Safford and go up the trail until conditions get prohibitive (or go through New Mexico again). Jake is in Show Low and can give us an idea of the weather tomorrow or Thursday.
Joe,
The temps are dropping and the clouds are moving in. We topped out at 55 yesterday and by around 3pm the temps were already dropping down and as soon as the sun got low in the sky it was down right cold. Unless there is some type of major weather changes that surprise us all you guys might want to re-think coming up this way.
I have been checking weather.com everyday and it is saying PM showers starting today and going through the weekend with possible snow Thursday and Saturday. There is a possible break on Friday but no good weather expected until Sunday / Monday with highs in the upper 40's.

We're just basically trying to avoid ice and snow on the roads. The cold and rain we can handle. We have complete cloud cover and the wind is picking up in Phoenix too.
Let us know when you come down for your 1K service. If they finish it early enough, maybe we can ride up to Tortilla Flat or Jake's Corner before you have to go back to Show Low.
going to bow out on the friday ride, don't know how well my new scoot will do on a 600 mile ride.(thanks rude king)
seriously, I think I will spend friday putting on the new front rim.
