Default Lake Livingston TX questions

Anyone spent the night at a hotel/motel/cabin on the water there....? Trinity area on NW end works best ridewise but Onalaska would be OK too. The online info is sparse and not much help. Also, any eating suggestions for dinner/lunch/breakfast? A few of us are coming out of Clear Lake area and want to ride BACK roads around the lake, first hand info would be appreciated. I know it is a sorta wuss trip ...but Hill Country takes a real commitment and at least 3 days. We have found and ridden some good routes to/from Livingston but have not ridden perimeter. We hope to do trip in next 3 weeks before it gets HOT. Thanks John

Thanks for the site suggestion. I have "surfed" and as I mentioned there really isn't much info on eating/sleeping or good side roads that only comes from those how have been there, done that. I guess my solution will be to ride it clockwise alone or with a friend in one day, then again before it gets HOT with wives and counter-clockwise in 2 days. John
