I don't know if you are aware of the wildfire near 191, looks like a big one. Hannagan Meadow also was evacuated.

Interesting ride today. I saw rain, hail, snow, Tony ride his bike thru a tree, a turkey standing in the middle of the road, a wolf run accross the road in front of me and a rock slide actually happen (barely missed it). Made it to Susanville cold and tired. Dave needs a new back tire. In lite of this and the weather at Lake Tahoe, we will be heading to Reno for a tire change then directly to Bishop.
It looks like our favorite road is going to be TOAST before long.
Fire authorities warned residents in the Alpine area Thursday afternoon to be prepared for an evacuation during the next 24 hours.
Sounds like some bad news back home. Had a relatively short and uneventful day today straight down 395. Dave got new rubber all around at Chester's in Reno. Saw some sprinkles and light snow flurries on the way to Bishop. Altitudes were over 8000 ft, but not as cold as yesterday. Stayed in the rain suits all day again mainly due to temps. Really looking forward to putting those away. Got to the hotel around 5PM and knocked some of the grime off the bikes. Temp was in the mid 60s in Bishop, really felt good. Looking forward to those high temps in Death Valley tomorrow. Over 400 miles planned to get to Needles.
got home about 30 min ago, couple cold beers and a shower and I'll start on the rest of the pics and videos. You guys are just too much fun! WAYYY! excellent week, hope we can do it again soon, next time lets find that Tornado!!
