Another long day, 1090 miles since leaving Phoenix. Overniting in Seaside. Great ride today. As expected, PCH was closed due to a landslide but our detour turned out great. Nacinmiendo-Furgusson Road is incredible. Very technical and not for the faint of heart. Not something to tear thru as oncoming traffic shares a 1.5 lane road road with you. Shear drop offs in all directions, heavy forest all around. PCH between Nacinmiendo-Furgusson Road and Seaside was also awesome. Weather today was cool but clear, down right chilly as we pulled into the hotel. Dave took another round of photos which I'm sure he will be posting. Big thanks to Captain John for leading the group today.
Tomorrow, the weather does not look good for our trip to Fort Bragg.
Arrived in Ft. Bragg at about 8PM, another long day. It was supposed to be one of our shorter rides, but rain and twisty's slowed us down a bit. Rain from Santa Cruz thru Stinson Beach, even a little past that. Rain suits on all day. Thankfully it let up as we went thru SF allowing us to pass without difficulty. PCH is really nice north of SF. Nice clean banked road, very twisty. Last few hours were dry but chilly. We are drying everything out so we can get it wet again tomorrow. We will be looking for the tree with a big hole in it for a photo op. Dave was busy with the camera again.
